In 1999, Controlled F.O.R.C.E. brought together its top instructors from across the country to develop a corps of National Instructors for the purpose of offering a nationally standardized system of defensive tactics instruction. From this meeting, the concept of establishing an organization to develop and promote a national standard of training was discussed. This discussion culminated in the creation of the United States National Standards of Training Association (U.S.N.S.T.A.). The National Instructors agreed that an annual meeting should be implemented for the purpose of bringing instructors from different states and different backgrounds together to share their knowledge and experience. In 2000, under the direction of the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Executive Staff, the 1st Annual U.S.N.S.T.A. National Training Conference was held at the Showboat Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Over subsequent years, a handful of dedicated instructors rose to the top in a class of top instructors. These "best of the best" that contribute instructional services and consultations have become known as the U.S.N.S.T.A. Instructor Cadre. Members of this elite team of instructors maintain a Controlled F.O.R.C.E. National level of certification and are Subject Matter Experts in the fields of Military Tactics, Law Enforcement Tactics, Corrections Tactics, Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP), Security Forces, Executive Protection, SWAT Tactics, Protective Services Detail (PSD), Evasive Driving, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Small Arms Weapons, among others. |
